Is a Masters of Arts in Communication and Media a viable choice to open up more job opportunities?

0

I currently have a B.A. in History (Secondary Education) and a minor in Communication/Theater. I am currently completing my Social Studies Endorsement (RX). I am already certified to teach but in Michigan there just isn’t a lot of job opportunities and even outside of Michigan things are slower. I am currently a Unit Director for a Boys and Girls Club full-time but want to explore other job opportunities. I have had a dozen interviews in the past 3 months but again many are with non-profit organizations who mainly rely on donations. I am currently looking to start a graduate degree in Communications. I am hoping this will open up more job opportunities than just non-profit and schools. I have not zeroed in on any specific career choice but would like to earn more money. Is this a viable choice (M.A. Communication) or should I look at other options or programs. If you have a M.A. in Communications I would love to hear from you.
