Is a MAR refurbisher limited to using MAR software?

0

A. No. PC refurbishers often refurbish PCs for a number of uses and this will continue. Examples of refurbishments that fall outside this program include: 1. PCs with original OS media and documentation that do not require a donated OS and can be transferred directly to a recipient. 2. PCs that do not meet the minimum specifications required by the MAR Donation Program. Please contact CompuMentor to determine the current level of PC eligible for the program. 3. PCs which are found to be unsafe or beyond repair. PC refurbishers are required to dispose of these in an environmentally responsible way. 4. PCs that are sold to customers who are not eligible to receive a donated license. Eligible recipients are public charities, K-12 public schools and technology access programs. Others (e.g., small businesses and private individuals) cannot receive a donated license.
