There should be no rush to do this procedure. I have never heard of it being done this early on, but maybe they do. It is done by a dentist and it doesn’t take that long and you can numb them up with a shot. Not a very long procedure (a few minutes). It shouldn’t be a problem until he starts to lose those baby teeth and the permanent teeth start to come in…a gap might form.
