Is a Kurt Cobain Movie Coming Soon? I think I speak for a large percentage of Nirvana fans when I say that this idea always made me cringe: Most music biopics are glossy, generic rise-and-fall tales, and I didn’t want to see Cobain’s short existence get put through that. (For the record, there have been two films made about the songwriter: Gus Van Sant’s pseudo-poetic, unofficial Cobain tribute, Last Days; and AJ Schnack’s impressionistic documentary, About a Son.
