A great memory is a major advantage in any leadership position for many reasons but the one that stands out is the ability to remember the names and details of lives of the people who work with and for you. People feel connected to leaders who remember their names and particular details of their life (a child who just received a college football scholarship for example). This connection allows the leader to develop a better repoire with people which leads to increased engagement to the job.
