Is a Gossip Girl Spinoff in the Works? Saturday December 6, 2008 Are we ready to see twice as many racy ads featuring half-naked teenagers in the throws of passion? It might happen — the CW is exploring the possibility of creating a spinoff of their popular series Gossip Girl. At a WWD Style + Media conference in New York, CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff stated that the network was exploring their options with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (executive producers of Gossip Girl): “Nothing really tangible yet, but we’re talking about it. If it’s the right idea, we’d all embrace it and be enthusiastic, but nobody more than Josh and Stephanie want to make sure there’s the right idea that they can wrap their arms around and really be excited about.” Will Goss
