Is a German Shepard a suitable pet?
NEVER get a “German Shepard”! Anyone who would offer you a “German Shepard” is too ignorant to even know that the breed was developed to HERD sheep in the German boundary patrolling way, and so its real name translates as German Shepherd Dog – GSD for short. Realise that those of the “experts” who have pretended to answer your question but have copied your mis-spelling know as little about the breed as you do, so their “advice” should be totally ignored. (I hope that from now on you WILL remember the breed’s name! Newbies are allowed to be ignorant until taught. Breeders and “experts” are NOT – they should stay out of it until they HAVE learned all that is necessary.) Before going any further, you need to consider what you will be doing for the next 12 to 15 years, the life expectancy of a healthy GSD.
