A. Depends on how much state you wish to synchronize. You can configure state sync based on VIP, so you might decide to do full TCP stateful failover only for a few VIPs and not for maybe HTTP (and only do sticky sync for HTTP traffic). A Gig link is recommended since the maximum stateful info exchanged between 2 CSMs is estimated in 400Mb if you synchronize every single TCP connection and if you use the CSM close to its max performance. Most of the times, 10/100 are enough, especially since it’s recommended to use a channel (as protection from physical link failures), which will give you at least 200Mb/s in case of no failures.
