Is a firemouth cichlid compatible with small fish?

0

Firemouths are one of the more docile cichlids though something that easily fits in their mouth is still food. You won’t have territorial issues or aggression issues w/ Firemouth though most of the fish you listed are just too small to not be a meal for a full grown Firemouth. The Adult Mollys & Platies will get large enough though the neons will be a snack. The Danios are so fast they may live though if cought they’ll be food as well. Instead of firemouth get a pair of Rams (microgeophagus), Kribensis (Pelvicachromis) or Apistogramma and they’ll all be a nice cichlid addition to this aquarium w/o having them eat the above choices.
