I think you typed your question out wrong. She got four NEGATIVES, right? Honestly, if she read the pregnancy test in the amount of time she was supposed to, and didn’t let it sit around to develop an evaporation line, then the positive is not likely to be wrong. You can’t really get a true false positive, because the test only comes up positive if the pregnancy hormone is present in your body. False negatives can happen because the test is not sensitive enough to pick up the hormone. It could be that the four negatives were from tests that were less sensitive than the one positive — even tests of the same brand, in the same package, can have different sensitivities. She should wait to see if she misses her period (if she hasn’t already) and then take another test.
