Is a electrician a good job?
I was an electrician before i joined the navy and the prospects were really good, it all depends on if you want to go heavy electrical or household, there is always a need for a good sparky, I started off on the oil rigs working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off and the money was really good, it is also a trade that is very handy for your family and mates, when i leave the forces i will be taking the electrical trade up again, there is money to be made, start off with a company first to get some experience then you could look at starting up on your own, also there are plenty of books to buy or rent to give you a guide in the right direction and help with your training, contact your local college and they will give you a list of useful books, good luck and you will enjoy the trade
