Is a determination of the dynamic resistance of the battery possible?
The internal resistance of the battery can be determined by statistical or systematic fluctuations of the battery power (caused by the periodic, very high current requirement of the injection equipment, for example). Therefore, the dual-mode will allow voltage and power measurement quasi simultaneously. The difference from temporarily differing results in current and voltage fluctuations, from which the internal resistance can be calculated directly. Due to noises in voltage and current values accompanied by small changes in current values, the generation of differences may cause major uncertainties of the resistance value. The ASIC however, will deliver quite a lot of measuring values in a short time and thus ensure a highly precise calculation of the real dynamic internal resistance by means of suitable digitally filtered algorithms. As a frequency information is also contained in these measuring data and a frequency dependence of the internal resistance is known, the result of a def
