Yes you can install Windows 7 but the Activation Key (on the bottom of your laptop) you have is for Windows Vista. If you use the same key as your friend who you are borrowing the disk from your windows 7 will not be activated and will only be usable for 90 days. Also your friend’s windows 7 will Deactivate and the Activation Key will become unusable.
