Is a degree from northeastern university school of professional and continuing studies as good as day student?
The title School of Professional and Continuing Studies is an umbrella for all programs that focus on adult learners by offering degree programs at night and weekends, possibly more online offerings or accelerated (short term) scheduling and will incorporate educational theories of how adults learn in the way courses are taught. The quality of adult programs at most schools is parallel to day school. Many full time faculty from the day school will teach in these programs, but they do also use part-time faculty who bring occupational experience as well as teaching abilities into the classroom. While I can’t speak from experience about NEU, I have spent most of my professional career working in adult focused programs.
