Is a damp proof membrane required?

0

Under normal circumstances there is no requirement for a damp proof membrane to be incorporated into this floor structure, however, where there is a necessity for a radon barrier in the suspended concrete floor this should be fitted over the concrete T Beams. A grouting screed of lean mix sand and cement should be laid over the Beamshield Plus panels to the top of the T Beams to provide a flat surface. The radon barrier is then laid and a 75mm thick C30 concrete reinforced with A98 mesh to BS 4483:1985 is placed over the barrier.
