Is a criminal background check and drug screen required?
All positions with the City of Jacksonville require a criminal records check and pre-employment drug screen. When the application asks if you have ever been convicted of an offense (other than minor traffic violations) against the law or forfeited a bond, please be sure to be complete in your answer. Convictions are not an absolute bar to employment. However, failure to disclose convictions will result in disqualification of your application.
