If an organization proposes to re-budget 25% or more among budget categories for the current total approved budget, prior approval is required from the SAMHSA GMO. Re-budgeting amounts less than 25% do not require prior approval; however, regardless of the percentage, any change in indirect costs or contracting substantive programmatic work does require prior approval. If a significant change takes place in your organization or additional staff is hired, at a minimum the SAMHSA GMS and Project Officer must be notified.
