Is a Boss V-8 In the Mustang’s Future? Tuesday June 24, 2008#spacer{clear:left}#abc #sidebar{margin-top:1.5em}zSB(3,3)Yesterday Automotive News reported that Ford has halted work on their 6.2-liter V-8 Boss engine that had been scheduled to go under the hood of the 2010 F-series pickup. Initially named Hurricane, the Boss engine program was designed to create a powerful big-block V-8 engine that could compete with the likes of General Motors. The on-again-off-again program was revived by Ford’s Mark Fields, President, The Americas. According to the article, Fields says the program has not been shut down, it’s just been “scaled back.” This, of course, makes many folks wonder if the engine will or will not be featured in the 2010 Mustang.
