Blue used to represent Christianity. The baby Jesus and Mary always used to be in that sky blue colour in medieval paintings. Though, I thought the grail was a wooden cup, but there are a thousand of those relics they went on quests for, during the centuries only one male child a family could marry so they had nothing else to do.
