Is a 20 week ultrasound mandatory?
I always thought so, with my two they did anatomy scans at 20 weeks. But if your doc won’t and you really want to know, google gender determination ultrasounds and usually you can find a business around you that does ultrasound purely for your enjoyment of gender determination or just to see your baby. We did this, but traveled the 3 hrs from Peoria, IL to St. Louis, MO. It was worth it though cuz we found out that we were expecting a boy, since my doctor would not do another scan till 30 weeks. It cost us about $80 to do it and we got 4 pics from them.
