Is a 10 day weather forecast accurate?
10 day forecasts are basically a gimmick that weather stations use. if you actually look at them, they pretty much just predict the averages for that time of the year. you rarely will ever see a 50% chance of rain 10 days out unless it normally rains that time of the year. the best forecasts are 3 days or less. the computer models tend to be more accurate and you can go outside and physically see the winds and clouds changing. if you’re going to the beach somewhere in the southeast, then thunderstorms are a good bet, but i did not need to see the forecast to predict that.
