It’s not too late for invitations – invites to any event should go out 3-4 weeks before. If they’re sent out too early, people will misplace them and forget about the event. I don’t think it’s too late to plan the shower, either. You just need basic decorations, some food and drink, and a cake. That’s it for a very basic shower. You should NOT scrap the shower, crappy economy or not. Even if you don’t get a single gift, you should celebrate this happy time in your life, and the birth of your baby. This world does kind of suck right now, but YOUR home can be happy and safe, if you make it that way. 🙂 Congrats on the baby!
