Is 6 shillings (30p) too much to pay to spend a penny at London Waterloo Station?

It’s disgusting, and I was shocked to be charged the same when I visited Kendall in the Lake District, last year. My Husband had gone off to park the car, and I was bursting, so I ran to find a toilet, only to find a miserable security guard unwilling to let me pass the barriers without first paying 30p. I informed him that my husband would be along shortly with some money, but he still wouldn’t open the barriers. By this time I was so desperate, and shot through the barrier, when it opened to let a woman out. I was chased into the toilet by the disgruntled security guard, and had to inform him, that he would be cleaning up a puddle if he didn’t let me use the toilet NOW!!!! On returning to the outside of the toilets, my husband was waiting for me, and so was the security guard. I picked out 30p in pennies, from my husbands hand, and THREW it at the miserable old ba$tard. We left him scurrying around the floor for the scattered coppers, and we vowed we would NEVER visit Kendal again. M
