Is 3D/4D Ultrasound scanning safe?

Since its introduction 30 years ago there has been no evidence to suggest that Ultrasound scanning presents any risk to the mother and baby. This is being monitored on an ongoing basis by experts at the British Medical Ultrasound Society. The Ultrasound output levels of our 3D and 4D scanning equipment, GE Voluson 730, are no more than the traditional 2D scanning equipment used in hospitals.

Extensive studies over a 40 year period have not shown any detrimental effects associated with the use of ultrasound in obstetric practice.
