Is $30,900 a fair price for a 2007 Lexus ES 350 with very low mileage (5,900)?
I would have thought it would be priced between $27.5 and $28.5. In much of the country, and considering the state of the luxury car market and Toyota’s recent massive recall related to unintended accelleration, a 2010 ES sould price out close to invoice or $32.5k I think you’re better off holding out for a better deal. There hasn’t been any indication from the NHTSA that the ES brakes are to blame in the fatal accident that led to the recall. But there is a strong indication that the design of the accelerator pedal and its proximity to the floor, combined with the improperly installed floor mats, might have caused the car to accelerated uncontrollably. The ’07 ES is among the recalled vehicles and it might be better to wait till the investigation is concluded. It is possible that no one will want to own a late model ES when all is said and done.
