Is 300 litres big enough for a clown loach?
They may outgrow that size tank eventually, but it will take years. They get to about 4″ pretty quick, then it may only be an ich per year. But they can live a long time, those big ones you see pictures of may be 10 or 15 years old. You should also be keeping them in a group. One clown loach is likely to be very shy and sulky, may not feed properly and can even die. A group of them and you will see them behave normally. Yes they can live with some ciclids. Nothing big and aggressive of course, but even when small they will be OK with Angelfish, Kribensis, Keyholes etc. Larger loaches will be able to stand up to bigger cihclids like Firemouth or Severum etc.
