Based on the HOPE trial, 10mg Lisinopril is approximately equivalent to 2.5 mg of altace (ramipril). 10mg of altace would approximately be 40mg lisinopril. So it seems the doctor lowered it. But note 20 mg Lisinopril is the normal effective dose given to people with high blood pressure. Any higher dose of lisinopril does not have much of an additional effect.
