There is no scientific evidence that the world will end in 2012. And the “comet” (called 99942 Apophis) that MAY hit the Earth in 2036 (a 1 in 45,000 chance) is only 230 meters across. Its not large enough to destroy the Earth or wipe out humanity. It would have to be about 10 times its current size and mass to do that. It certainly could cause a lot of damage and deaths, but the world and humanity will survive.
