The 1 hour, 35 minute connection time at O’Hare is a legal connection, as far as the airline is concerned — airlines will not sell tickets that do not meet their minimum legal connection, but the time you cite is above their minimum time of 1 hour, 10 minutes. That having been said, you will be able to check your bags all the way through to Las Vegas at Heathrow, so the only things you will do when you get to Chicago are claim your bags, go through US Customs and Immigration, and re-drop them at a special point after Customs for transit passenger bags.
