Is 194GB (in a program) too much for a notebook?
If I would have to install such a large program for just image manipulation, I would get suspicious about it. What is bundled with it? Yes, 194GB is really too much for only the application. Even if you meant “1.94GB”, it’s still a lot! One would expect a computer game of these days to have that size. Better find some other program or another source where you can download it from, only if it’s not the same size. The download version appears to be nearly 500 MB, so you shouldn’t need more than 1 GB for installation. But, do see if there isn’t more included, like space for temporary files. Like editing video, image manipulation can get you to end up with many files that could be big. Note that with each and every application you install, the hard drive becomes a little more full. This will slow down certain processes, like file system checks, but such a large program as this one that is probably set to be started when you boot up, you can definately expect your system to run slower.
