Cal is about 500 to 600 kWh per month. A swimming pool adds about 200 to 250 kWh per month. Using the A/C can add an extra 400 kWh on a hot August month. So your bill looks very reasonable. Only using 1250 kWh in a 5000 sq ft home, with 7 people in So. Cal would be very reasonable — especially since this should be your July electrical usage.
