Is 119 Billion pound enough money to fund the UK NHS next year?

Apparantly not… Seems to be that while prices and costs are rising, the budget is not rising by the same level, so in effect an already stretched NHS is going to be taking even more budget cuts through to 2011. The management aren’t happy, and although I guess it is up to the management to make the best out of a bad situation – that’s what they are being paid for, they can only do so much with what they have. This is the biggest reason why I was against the war in Iraq – just think how that money could have been spent more wisely.
