Is 1000 Planets a commercial venture?
From the outset 1000 Planets is a for profit commercial venture. Incorporated on January 1st, 2001, in Washington State, USA. It has been re-incorporated in Oklahoma under new management. It does not have charitable status. The philosophy that describes 1000 Planets is “TANSTAAFL” – There Ain’t No Such Thing As A Free LAUNCH. Which means we have to earn our way. However there will not be very many paid staff members. Most will remain volunteers who will be given stock after a while for their efforts. Most cash earned will go back into the company projects.
