Is 10 downing street protected by armed guards?
I went to London on a holiday hoping to get a photo taken outside 10 Downing street like my Grandma has. Turns out that over 40 years ago there was really just the one police officer by the door. When I went in 2004 you could get nowhere near the place massive gates, bollards and armed guards who I was in no rush to ask if they would take my photo while I was standing by the door of no. ten. All changed probably when the IRA started attacking targets in England. Now i’ll just have to make do with a post card.
