Is 1% enough compensation to garner cooperation from buyers agents?
Yes, we believe it is and are successfully selling homes at this rate. However, most people would rather earn more money than less money, and Realtors® are no exception. Therefore, it stands to reason that by offering less than what is normal, the amount of cooperation from other Realtors® will decrease. While this is true, you must keep in mind that you only need one Realtor® to sell your property. At today’s home values, a 1% commission is still a considerable pay cheque and as such, many of the over 5000 Realtors® in Calgary will be happy to show your home to their prospective buyers.
