Iron infusion for anemia?

Since you are no longer having the monthly loss of blood, you SHOULD be able to rebuild your iron levels without the infusion. An iron supplement in oral form is ideal, why couldn’t you tolerate it? If you had trouble with nausea this is often solved by being sure to take the tablet with a meal. If you had trouble with constipation a daily fiber supplement along with lots of water will help to keep your system in balance. Spinach, beans and of course red meats are all rich natural sources of iron and cooking these in a cast iron pan helps to add some additional iron as well. If I were you I would make a big effort with a good quality multivitamin AND an iron supplement along with boosting iron rich foods in your diet and adding in the fiber and water. As I understand it, the infusion is a good solution if your levels are extremely low and you are having continued blood loss ( ie; menstruating). It takes a fair amount of time to rebuild iron levels and 6 months after a major blood loss
