IPod Touch vs new iPhone 3G, which one should I buy?
iPod Touch has nothing over the 3G iPhone except it’s max memory is 32 GB. 3G iPhone features that iPod Touch doesn’t have: Looks Bluetooth Camera GSM Radio (this is the thing that gets cell phone signals…so phone, internet anywhere you can get a signal, and SMS) External Speakers External Volume Controls Silence Switch Microphone GPS 3G (faster internet) There is no reason for a 3G iPhone user to get an iPod Touch because there’s nothing the iPod Touch has except for a 32 GB version and thinner And the 3G iPhone will require in-store activation, so there’s no way you can get it without activating it. As for the first iPhone which activated at home, you needed to unlock it first in order to use it as an mp3 player (which voided your warranty since you bypassed activation).
