IPod error (-4) anyone else having this problem?
Error Code -4 is ” / unimplemented core routine” meaning its found a problem with the boot code and needs to retry. try unplugging it an reconnecting it after resetting the ipod. are your restoring or upgrading as you mention both!!! BUT if you have Jailbroken an iPod touch and get this it means you must remove the jailbreak before it will allow you to restore to the 1.1.4 software. Jailbroken ipods cause so many problems (just search on here for them). It alters the boot code so its not really an ipod at all. Best option is to remove the jailbreak by restoring the ipod on your computer but NOT connected to internet as latest non 2.0 upgrade is 1.1.4 and updating from jalibroken 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 will BRICK your unit (DEAD forever). once you have restored it to 1.1.3 connect computer to internet and BUY the 2.0 upgrade at £5.99 its worth it as it legally has most of the games and apps you have now (2.0 can be jailbroken but many dont bother as 2.0 has everything they want.
