It was confirmed in several studies, that the consumption of coffee is related with a lower risk of developing intestinal cancer. According to a study conducted in Canada, the risk decreased while the consumption of coffee increased, until 5 cups per days (especially in men). In another group of studies a reduction of 28% was observed in the risk of developing lower intestine cancer in people who drank four or more cups of coffee per day in comparison to those who drank less than a cup. There are some studies in which that conclusion was not reached, but in them, other factors like tobacco and alcohol consumption were not given that much importance.
