International applicants/Non-native English speakers/Foreign transcripts I am an internation applicant, do I need to take the TOEFL?
All applicants who are non-native English speakers (regardless of citizenship) must fulfill the UW English language proficiency requirements, please see UW Grad School Memo 8 for more information. Submitting official TOEFL scores is one way of showing proficiency with the English language and fulfilling the requirement. Please see Memo 8 (above) for additional ways to fulfill this requirement.
