Instead of elementary school closures is it possible to close high schools because many high school students drive?
No. There are 3,000 empty Kindergarten through 6th grade seats throughout the District. Those empty seats equal 120 empty classrooms and each elementary school has approximately 30 classrooms. The current amount of empty seats and empty classrooms means that the District has the equivalent of 4.6 elementary schools that do not have students.
