ANSWER – The key to a quality and succesful tile installation that will last many years is to have a quality control plan to ensure your installer is installing the tile correctly per industry standards. If you can’t afford to hire a qualified third party to implement the quality control plan then YOU must be the QC inspector to make sure it gets installed correctly. The installer may have 30 years experience, but he probably is not familiar with all of the standards of the industry.
