Install 11: What level of user rights (e.g. User, Power User, Administrator) does Reference Manager require to install and run correctly?
In order to properly install, your user account must have administrative rights to the local machine (meaning it must be a member of the “Administrators” group in the local security database). You cannot install while logged in under an account that is a member of the Windows groups “Users” or “Power Users”. However, once the program has been installed under an account with administrative rights, other accounts on that machine can run Reference Manager 11 or later if they first run the “Configure Reference Manager” utility. This can be run either by selecting the “Configure Reference Manager” shortcut on the Start menu under the Reference Manager 11 or later program group, or you can run it by double-clicking the file called “RefManConfig.EXE” located in the Reference Manager 11 or later program folder. After running this file, you should be able to run Reference Manager 11 or later even if the program was not installed under your account and even if your account does not have administ
