InSpec of DOS asks me to press a key, but does nothing when I do so?

InSpec asks the user to press a key in a pop-up message such as “Setup target and press a key”. The user presses a key and nothing happens. The solution is usually to press either the Enter key or the Spacebar. InSpec is apparently waiting one of these specific keys at this message.
