INSITE data and menu commands are sometimes grayed out. Why is that?
Menu commands may be disabled (grayed out) if the command is not available or does not apply with the function being performed with INSITE. When data is grayed out it can be viewed only; it can not be changed. There are several reasons why items may be grayed out: • You are not connected to an ECM • The connected ECM does not support this function • The calibration of the connected ECM does not support this function • A Tool Functionality Password is required • An ECM password is required • You are viewing ECM image data INSITE automatically recognizes the connected ECMs type, calibration, and features, and grays out or removes any unusable options for the connected ECM. Also INSITE enables only those commands that are supported by your assigned user rights. If User Manager is enabled, you must be logged on to INSITE using the correct password. If you have questions about user rights or Tools Functionality passwords, talk with your system administrator or local Cummins Distributor.
