In WW2,what was superior about the German soldiers that enabled them to take other countries so quickly?
The Germans use the ‘Blitzkrieg’ tactic. At the start of an attack e.g. against France the Germans first bombed airports and other important military points with their ‘Luftwaffe’ so that the enemy e.g. lost the most of their airplaines before they can strike back. Additionally the Germans had well tactical and operative vantages in the first years of the war. France wasn’t weaker than Germany. But France expected a German attack only at the Maginot Line but the Germans invade France via Belgium and surprised the French Army with this tactic. The war against the Soviet Union began likewise. The Red Army had more soldiers but was in an inferior tactical position at the first months of war against Germany. The Red Army in autumn 1941 nearly was in complete disarray. But then winter came. The ‘Wehrmacht’ wasn’t well-prepared for a winter war because Hitler planned a fast victory before Christmas.
