The option of holding U.S. dollars is available in most registered accounts, including: • Tax-Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs) • Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) • Group RRSPs • Registered Retirement income funds (RRIFs) • Life income funds (LIFs) • Locked-in retirement income funds (LRIFs) • Prescribed retirement income funds (PRIFs) • Restricted Life Income Fund (RLIF) • Locked-in retirement account (LIRA) • Restricted Locked-in Savings Plan (RLSP) The only exception is the registered education savings plans (RESPs), where the U.S. dollar side to the account will not be available.
