In what types of securities does the State of Missouri invest?
The State of Missouri’s portfolio is a fixed-income portfolio limited to a maximum maturity of five years. The State Treasurer’s Office is not allowed to invest the State’s portfolio in the stock market. Eligible securities include: United States Treasuries, U.S. agency debt, commercial paper of U.S. corporations, bankers’ acceptances, repurchase agreements and time deposits with Missouri banks.
