Technical rescue equipment and training should be applied for in the Firefighting Operations and Firefighter Safety Program Area, and not in the EMS Program Area. • Can we include activities from more than one program area in our grant request? No, all activities requested must be confined to those activities eligible within a single program area. • Could grant funds be used pay off existing loans or for items already on order? The grant will not cover vehicles, equipment, or projects that were initiated, ordered, or received prior to submission of your application. Likewise, grant funds may not be used to pay off existing loans. • Can the grant funds be used to pay for items that are ordered after my grant application is submitted, but prior to notification of an award?
