In what other activities does SOCGuard participate?
In addition to workshops, SOCGuard also coordinates campus visits for and with ESOs. These college briefs increase ESOs’ visibility on campuses, help them resolve administrative issues, and build relationships. Improved interaction leads to expanded education opportunities for Guard Soldiers. SOCGuard staff members also attend higher education conferences to promote SOC and ARNG education programs, and to help ESOs plan and develop successful college/career fairs or other education events within their communities. All outreach activities present opportunities for collaboration between higher education institutions and the Guard.
